Hooray! Just ordered Stage 2!
Yeah, I already knew that ebay sold it cheaper. But for some reason, I just don't trust doing business on ebay (especially on higher ticket items).
So I paid more, but I had peace of mind.
Still, I got mine in only 3 days as well. Must have something to do with if they have it in stock at the time of the order.
How do you like your St. 2?

Is the first choice Denooyer Chevy? I would go there, I've had nothing but good experiences with them. I bought my car new from them as well, they even took about 4k off the MSRP. They are really experienced with S2 from what I hear, and the tech if I remember correctly has an SS S/C with stage 2 that he installed himself. I'd rather go to a dealer with more experience than a dealer that is going to sit there staring at a service manual scratching their heads wondering what to do with your car. But that's just me.

Well I wont' mention any dealer's name, but the service guy himself told at that dealer that one of their mechanics had done their own St. 2.
The other dealer though has done at least one or two of them. So I don't think they will be "staring at the service manual". LOL
Seeing that is the case then, I'd probably rather go to the dealer closer to my home. Because just in case something has to get looked at the install later on down the road, 5min. away is closer than a 1/2 hr. away.
I'll keep you posted ...
^^ Thanks! Hopefully my S2 will be here 2morrow or early this week. I plan to get it installed thursday. I have no classes thursday or friday so I want to get it installed and take it out for a drive!
Let me know what you think when you get it installed firemanfrank!

So I should be able to let you know how it turns out later today.
Thanks IMAD and everyone for your comments!
And ...
THE CAR IS DONE! I'LL BE PICKING IT UP WITHIN THE HOUR!
P.S. Don't be TOO jealous IMAD, I've been waiting since the day I bought the car to get St. 2 (about 5 months!). I'm sure that before you know it, that you'll also have St. 2 on your car!

Yeah Man!
Now That's What I'm Talking About!
What a freaking difference ...

Ok, so bear with me a minute ... here's the story (many exclamation points to follow):
1) PRICE - First off, I had told this dealer what Chris88z24 had originally reported another dealer was charging for the install - $200 (which was incorrect). So when I picked up the car and asked him how much, he had the slip written up for $200!
But guilt set in when I asked him why he dropped it from the $400 he had originally quoted. He said, "We didn't want to lose your business". Ugggh! So call me nuts, but I told him that there was a misquote regarding that other dealer, and that they were actually charging $360.
So I said to him, "How 'bout this, would it be ok if we sort of split the difference and you charge me $300?". He agreed, and then he thanked me for my honesty (yeah, every once in a while I actually do something right in my life).
2) SERVICE - I spoke to the Service Foreman (who with another guy, had worked on my car). He said that they have done almost 10 St. 2 upgrades so far. Cool! He was also very knowledgeable, and he asked me if I had any questions (nice guy). I asked him about modding vs. warranties, and he said they've already done several cars with the GMPP exhaust. He said the exhaust WOULD NOT void the Manufacturers Warranty as far as they are concerned.
3) PERFORMANCE - WOW .. and I mean freaking WOW! St. 2 vs. Stock is like Night & Day. I'm not kidding! There was a lot of traffic on the road coming home, so I was very careful about where I punched it.
1st to 2nd gear spins the tires with enough gusto that it's almost crazy. And to think, before I couldn't even chirp the tires on the 1/2 shift. BIG difference here!
2nd pulls harder and faster ... 3rd pulls harder and faster. EVERYTHING pulls harder and faster. Yikes!
**A Note Of Caution To Us People With A Newly Installed St. 2*
Take some time to get used to the newly found power and torque. As I was coming home I turned onto a side street that had little/no traffic. I made a right as the light changed, where the road took a slight bend to the left. With nobody around I wanted to punch it from about 5mph in 1st gear. I did, but the bend came up WAY FASTER than I had expected it to! Half way through 1st gear I had to grab on to the steering wheel with all my strength to keep the car under control.
Umm ... I won't be doing that again any time soon.
Also, this car with the St.2 DEFINITELY reminds me of my stock SRT-4. Very similar as far as power is concerned.
That's it for now, lata!

LOL
No intake, no exhaust.
St. 2 is definitely worth it!

Yeah I just turned 2500 with this one. Have had exhaust since 700 so it should help get a little more out of stage 2. Im surprised I waited so long. My other car turned over 18k before it traded it in. Who knows...
Ahhhhhhhh my S2 needs to hurry up and get here!!!!
I am glad to hear the difference in performance! I have the air box mod and GMPP exhaust so I can not wait to get this installed. Next week I should be ordering my 2.9 pulley from nate and getting 1 step colder plugs. GOD I CANT WAIT~~~!!!!!!!!!

Yup I'll be joining the stage 2 club also, My kits been sitting her for a week now. It's killing me but I have no choice to wait till I get paid. I'll be getting mine installed next week along with my triple gauge pillar and autometer gauges. I found a dealership a little over a hour away that said $230.00 for the stage 2 install. Which was heaven compared to my dealership saying $750 just for the install!!!
Nice writeup on the stage 2... makes me want to get it even more. Any other mods planned?
Looks like your keeping your car now

There you go

Sweet. thanks man. I too am definetly going to be getting rid of that 3in pulley to most likely a 2.8in. I was looking at Cobalt-addiction.com and they offer a 2.79in that has 77.9mm engraved in i (what the stage 2 pulley has) so if your dealer looks at it they'd think its the one from the stage 2 kit!!!!!
LOL
My car shall remain under Full Factory Warranty (see my comment/concerns below).
St. 2 makes 15 lbs. of boost. Smaller pulley will obviously make more than that.
Doesn't the car's computer record that kind of stuff?
Hmmm.
