2005 LS Wind noise / warranty question...

I had the same problem wind noise problem from the rear passenger side window with my 05 LS sedan and took it in to get it looked at and the replaced all the seals, that was at around 35000 miles. now i am at 44000 miles and the noise is back. I am out of my warranty and do not want to pay a fortune to get it fixed, does anyone know the warranty on work done on a car by the dealership? Should i be able to get them to fix it again for no charge since the problem has come back so soon? any advice would help.

Donald

i dont think so, they replaced all the seals for me when i brought it in the first time. You could do this yourself if you wanted, but you might as well bring it in and get it fixed under warranty.

Yeah, I'd like to know this as well. I had to have my BCM replaced under warranty and now less than a year later it's doing the SAME thing again....and I KNOW that's not a cheap fix.

My fix for about every noise my car made, was an investment in front components, rear 6x9's an alpine 10" and an amp . I never hear any problems woot!

it beleve its 12/12 on dealer work, but if it is a repeat concern and you have been in there before, maybe they can good will warranty it, especially if you do all your maintance there.

That's what I thought it was as well, but I didn't know if there were limitations or not. It took me 6 months of hassling them weekly and a failed safety inspection/lawsuit threat to even get it LOOKED at the first time. I somehow don't think they'll be much more accomodating the 2nd time around.

My 05' LS also had this leak from the right rear window (stationary one). I drove the car around the block, had a buddy put a finger over the leaking area. Went back home, put alittle sealer in that spot. No more noise!
