Painting the Bowtie.

I want to paint both bowtie emblems on my car. Where could I go to get the matching paint?

No auto manufacturer actually sells paint. There is no such thing as Chevy paint, Honda paint etc... Auto manufacturers sign contracts with paint manufacturers like Dupont, PPG, Sikkens etc... to use their paint. The paint used on your vehicle is not the same as what you can get out of a spray can. They are two different things. Most auto manufacturers will sell color matched spray paint for small and minor applications, but it is not even close to what is on the car. It might work on your emblem, but I would suggest having your emblem painted a flat black like most on the site. More importantly, if you have not painted anything before then i would not suggest starting now. It is not as easy as what some people think.

Just don't try to paint any of your body panels with it. Small things like what you are doing might be okay, but nothing major.

I'm very familiar with painting so that shouldn't be a problem.

Off the website above, I'm really liking the Punisher bowtie.

no offense to 24design because they make some nice stuff but when it comes to the bowties the lack that 3d look..its just a flat peice of metal..i think the stocker looks better painted..
