Older projectors - only ones to take H1's?

Are the older style projectors the only ones to take H1's?
I have a mobilehid.com 6000k H1 kit sitting here in my house from like 6 months ago but I never ordered the headlights. Now I see there are some other options available and I know some of them take H7s instead of the 1's.

The newer projectors use H1's for the high beams, and H7's for the lows. The older projectors use H1's for the lows and highs.

I wish I could change my h1s over, but then again I've heard you really have to **** around with the newer projectors to get em to have a nice cutoff.. but the halos aren't as great on the olders. I guess safety > looks so i'll pick up some older projectors.
