both wheels pull you forward. the only time it both dont turn is when one side of the car gets unloaded (the corner of the car lifts up) and all the power will transfer to the slipping tire.

the open diff will transfer power to the tire with the least amount of traction...

I've done a few hard launches and have paid particular attention to how my tires wear over the last 15k miles. I can say that the pass wheel definatly sees the majority of spin/hop. In my experience cobalts without LSD will get significant tq steer to the right.

^yes, but that's because of unequal length half shafts, both wheels still pull you though.

i was about to say this. transmission is on the drivers side, therefore the passenger side shaft is longer

so if u plant it from a dig, does only one tire spin like a maniac or both? i was assuming that if i did the previous, only the left tire would be burning out and the other one just sitting there... i really dont understand this lol

Both wheels spin however, the one with the least amount of resistance will spin easier. At least that is how I understand it. Like if you are stuck in the mud, one tire spins the other does nothing.
