hid problems

i finally got my xenon 8000k hid kit in the mail yesterday. i installed the kit to find that my highs dont work. lows look great but no high. im looking at getting projectors soon but would like to get the problem fixed now so it will be an easy swap. also, do i need to leave the daytime running lamp fuse in the spot marked or will it ruin the lights by leaving it in there

You realise HIDs dont come with highbeams right?

the only way to have highbeams is to buy a "bi-xenon" hid kit, or use proper HID projectors with a moving cutoff shroud.

and it wont be an easy swap to projectors, as they use a different bulb to the stock headlights.

No offence my friend, but it sounds like you needed to do a little more reading before you bought HIDs

i bought the bi xenon kit and i know for sure. got the ballest and harness installed but nothing but lows

they only sent me one harness, it that right. cuz on the passenger side where the stock headlight harness is(light blue), its just open so the curcuit isnt complete. is there something that goes over that

only way you can tell if you have a bi-exnon hid kit is either the bulb is motorized which you can tell by the bottom because it does not look like a reg bulb and second if there is another small bulb beside the long big 1, in other words 2 bulbs

Same problem also. No Highs, but lows with a Philips Bi xenon kit.
