fram Is good too

 

the dealerships are very picky about using the factory oil filter, so use other brands with caution

 

I would use the AC DELCO filter u get form any GM dealership ... becuase with our motors the oil filters are cartridge filters.... no the usall canister...

If u couldnt tell im a Tech at a chevy dealership lol

 

Pure Ones are excellent too.

 

i just bought the aem dryflow filter...it says no oil require..so does dat mean no oil changes ??..

i just use the best one i can buy at the store, maybe the most expensive pure one, or the fram xtreme protection. i change my oil enough to be like w/e.

 

i figure that ..but i when i saw no oil require " I was what" lol i know what a dumb question lol

 

GM CAN void your warrenty for useing a NON GM filter. They've done it before!

X2...Fram does suck

 

If you put the 2 side by side with the same miles on them you can see how much better the AC Delco holds up. I just bought them in bulk from C.E.D. so I would have to hunt them down.

I've been using Fram, but I bought an AC Delco that will be going in during my next change.

 

No, they can't - Part of the Magnuson-Moss act that gets mentioned on this forum so often states that they can only stipulate certain parts (ie, OEM) if they provide them for free. Sure, they could TRY to void your warranty, but legally they couldn't.

 

I'm going to get that bulk from CED of the AC Delcos... good price for all those.

 

well i was using fram but it looks like im going to pick up a couple AC DELCO from CED

 

The fram and AC Delco one is the same filter, if u look at them they are manufactured at the same place. The PureOne from Purolator is the only one made IN AMERICA plus it outperforms the Fram and AC Delco one in SAE tests. That's the best one I can find, and I've done A LOT of research on this.

 

alright then, im going to stick with the fram, maybe pick up the ac delcos if i get really bored
