DP on Stock Exhaust??

hey guys, i'm getting a new downpipe from rebel because i need a wideband bung (might as well get it replaced with something nicer) ....my question is:

with a 3" dp with magnaflow high-flow cat... will it do anything with a stock exhaust performance-wise?..

..also, will it make is considerably louder? because i dont want a loud exhaust anymore...

thanks guys!

yes it will be louder not because of the size because of the high flow cat its almost as loud as no cat i have the high flow...

if its ss/sc then yes it will help reduce knock because there is alot of heat and pressure in the restrictive dp

i have the random technology downpipe with the stock exhaust, it is a tad raspy when you get on it but it's not too bad. You might get some power, but not too much unless you get bigger exhaust piping.

so its loud and raspy even at idle?

i put a magnaflow muffler on my stock exhaust...worst thing ive done to the car imo....cant hear my sc anymore, even with a 2.9 pulley....everybody thinks that wen im driving, im pushing my car and trying to race them , but not going anywhere lol...its kind of embarassing at times ... therefore im going back to stock exhaust to tone it down, but im getting a downpipe as well...

i was told that the 3" has 44% better airflow, but its a tad louder lol....what would you guys do?
