Tuning for MPG

I'm going on a long road trip soon and I'm wondering if there is any easy way to tune for better MPG. Would it be a simple as changing my AFR?

changing the stoich is a tad risky. everything is multiplied off that. i suppose you can iff you logged all the way with your trusty wideband.

You can command your afr to be leaner at cruise and make an area or block of cells for highway cruising. You can command a leaner afr for cruising as it is load based and can keep your WOT afr.

cruising at up to 17:1 is fine, i did that in my last car. basicly you just lean it out till it starts bogging down then richen it up half a point. a lot of people beleive this can hurt a motor, but this is at light loads, you will not do any damage.
