I want to replace my stock, foolishly long antena with a short one...but a short one that will still serve it's purpose.

Cut it, here's my how-to

 

Or you can gat a factory replacement and cut it down to the size you want then cut the antenna flush at the base, drill out the remaining antenna from the base and soldering in the antenna to the height you want it and still retain the original ball instead of a rubber boot.

Hey guys i just got a 07 cobalt and i hate the stock antenna so i went to murrays and picked up a scosche and went to screw it on and it doesnt fit, i was wondering how to change the mounting screw that the stock one goes on to one that fits this new antenna thanks guys

if you cut your stock one, how do u do it? just cut it in half or how ever long you want it and then what do you do?

 

Get the ARK one. It's sexy as hell and still has 100% reception.
