i read their recommendations on their website because i have them too and they say not to go below 12 psi on them.. as far as launching them, you just have to see what will work for you.. try 3k

i actually broke my axle with DR's at the track, it did take 70+ passes to finally break but it did break.. thats why im going to upgrade to slicks next year.. that and getting my 60' lower

you are losing me now. What is your redline set to? What do you shift at? and what is the size of your slicks?

cause with a 7500rpm rev limit, I could take 3rd to 120mph on my giant 26" tall slicks. On the stock wheels and tires, I could get to 118 in 3rd.

im not getting slicks until next year.. i want to get a pair for the lightest 16's i can find.. but now im running dr's. i try to shift at 7k which is my redline right now.. but im running 17's with my DR's. i looked at one of my logs from the track to actually see what im shifting at and your right.. i get up to 108 and then i shift into 4th.

bump your redline to 7500 and you'll drop some ET since you aren't having to shift. That's tenths of a second that you'll gain back. Might pop you into the 12's since you are so close anyways. Plus it'll let you ring out 3rd to about 116mph roughly. So you may pick up some mph as well.

as long as you are making power up close to 8150, you'll see tremendous gains. With the super fat powerband, and the really long gears, that will be a great rpm.

If you want a Track tire, then buy something that is for the track. That tire will do ok, much better than a street tire of course, but still not the best. It's very large in diameter, which means it will hurt your gearing a tad, and the sidewall is rather hard, which means no flex, and it could possibly wheel hop.

I hit 119 with a 26" tall DR @7400 rpm going through on the limiter.

I don't know if track prep was awful or my tires can't hol;d the power down but my last time at the track I was blowing the tires off through first. 235/55/16 BFD T/A dr's

I don't know if i should give them a chance for next year or go to a real slick. The tires are practically brand new.

with 119mph traps, I think it's safe to assume you are way overpowering a street style drag radial like the BFG T/A's. You need a real slick.
