Where can I find a turbo?

I can't seem to find a turbo for my new LS. Does anyone know of a good quality turbo.

Welcome to the site, check some of our supporting vendors. Maximum boost is offering a turbo kit currently for the 2.2L

If i decide to go turbo and not S/c i will be definately using Max boost. They have a stage 1,2,and 3 for our cars. 1 pushing 4-5 psi with no i/c. stage 2 pushing 6 psi safely with i/c
and stage 3 pushing i believe 8-9 with i/c and such.. The stage 2 i plan on getting is around 3 grand. They give you ALL hardware to be installed. All come with BOV i believe. And right now they are offering Stage one for 1500 SHIPPED so that they can get dyno/pictures of this setup. I have not even looked at any other vendors for turbos so i have no idea about anyother vendors

if ur going turbo i highly suggest u wait for hahn's kit to come out. eco powered cavs are deep into the 12's on stock internals/clutch with that kit.

I'm still waiting for that myself, but I wouldn't discourage anybody from Maximum Boosts kit. Hahns kit will probably be a bit more expensive, but it will be able to deliver higher power.

Why wait? -

I'm not sure the Port Fueler system is ready, but the rest of it is available.

I believe Hahn already has a Ecotec manifold. Its not especially hard to have one made anyway.

Im thinking Hahn kit too if I go this route but you can DIY it and come out around the same price.

OP1516ES $125.00 Stainless steel Exhaust Header Flange - best for full race or turbo

That is an Ecotec Flange, btw

Cost about $350-400 to have a header welded up and considering the limited space behind the engine, you might need a custom header anyway to run a larger turbocharger.

I'm think Garrett GT3071 dual ball-bearing - $1295

Its good for 400-450hp (depending on other factors) and makes full boost by 3,000rpm. That won't happen with a journal bearing T3/T4E Hybird.

Air to Air Spearco runs about $500-600. You could find cheaper units that might fit on Ebay.

Figure about $200 for pipes, $200 for blow-off valve good to 20psi or so

The hard part is fuel control....

The Hahn will include a Port Fueler setup controlled by a Split Second AIC control.

Not sure what the fuel rail pressure is but it takes really big injectors to support even 300hp on a 4 cylinder.

I'm sure any piggy-back like Greddy's Emange Ulimate will work to about 350hp, maybe more.

THe Hahn Sunfire is running the Portfueler and stock ECU with stock timing maps and fuel makes for the regular 4 injectors. The other 4 come on about 5psi I think.

Anyway any turbo system that's going to generate any big power number isn't going to be cheap.

Oops Half Cent I said Half Pint in another post...lol

Anyway Hahn's kit should be ready for sale sometime after the SEMA show. Their car did a couple of strange things but still ran fast all weekend.

You can also email the Kindles and see what they are using, its not a kit that's for sure.
