0-100/60-100 times of other cars

I'm sure some of you have seen this link.
http://www.torquestats.com/index.php?pid=mph100

Just thought I'd post it here. This lists the 0-100MPH times and if you click on the individual cars, it's brakes it down in detail (60-100 given) along with car specs. very nice. I know a lot of people (tuners ) have timed 60-100 as a bench mark. I think the stock TC will do *around* 7.3sec. As a point of reference my 09SS Tuned hit 6.3 sec from 60-100 and somr are getting 5.5 or less. On this link you first see only 0-100MH..I didn't have that (as most of us don't), but I figured the car was *good* for 0-60 in 5.4 (tuned) so if you add that to the 60-100 you get 11.7 sec (0-100) for a zone that you could look at for cars with similar stats. Very interesting (BTW, our car weighs about 1450 Kilos if you want to compare to others). For example look at the 370Z..looks pretty close to the 60-100MPH on my car.

I think we could do a bit better than that even, since I've beaten a few of those listed in the lower-mid 11s, even from digs in some cases and I know there are faster TCs out there than me.

For instance:
SRT8 (Charger/Challenger)
Ferrari Testarossa
370Z
etc.

Actually some of the fine tuned and bolted guys are doing 60-100 in around 4.6 seconds..

Whats funny is if you look at that thread people talk about 60-100 is a ricers way of measuring the car ..

If the SS/TC was designed strictly for the strip like a stang GT then I can see that being a ricer comparison ..

A lot of the time I am in 3rd gear going through the twisties and that is the best powerband to be in ...

Its more about 9.0 to 100. Trap about 115 consistantly now, really shows how much the turbo cant breath up top. At about 93-95 in the 1/8th.

Are you talkin' TUNED T/C?
Maybe stock? I know my car does 6.3sec from 60-100. SO, even if you give a TUNED SS /TC 0-60 5.8 sec (Published stock#s), that's still 12.1 for sure 0-100. This ain't really Bench racing either, because all I did was add a reasonable 0-60 to my timmed 60-100.

4.6 is amazing for sure. I would estimate close to 400 WHP to accomplish that. Can you say BOOOOOST???

I'm not a stock TC. I'm fully bolted and tuned, with weight reduction. If we were talking a stock SS/TC, I would wholeheartedly agree with you.

Go to youtube and check out the vids of SS/TCs smoking 370s from a dig and such if you don't think it's reasonable. Heck, you can probably find many tuned SS/TCs going less than 13.6 in the quarter mile, doing more than 100mph when they get there... meaning.. well.. they got to 100mph in less than 13.6secs from a dig.

That's another point I was gonna make. Many Tuned TCs are hitting at least 107 in the QTR and gonna be much less than 13.6 sec! It takes at least a sec to go from 100-107. You do the math...12.6 to 100MPH MINIMUM.

I was going to say man if it is at 100 MPH in 9.0 seconds that means it takes almost 3 seconds to gain about 15 MPH? But my car does fall off A LOT past 90..

That just doesn't make sense ,

I'm looking at my Road and Track magazines right now. They get pretty good times with most cars.

0-60 in 5.4s
0-100 in 12.8s

STOCK.
