Agreed. Chevyrockstar was wrong and should be hanged for his ignorance.

its gonna be tough for you. If you can outshift him, you should be ok. However, if he knows all his shift points and is a good driver youre in trouble...

you on crack? the tc runs 14.0's and caliber is mid 14's. Look up any comparison test between them and the cobalt destroys the caliber.

So how do Stage 2 SC balts compare to a stock CSRT4? That should be a close estimator, no?

And to the poster above me, I think people are thinking of roll races - that's a different story than a 1/4 run with these 2 cars.

Its a roll race. Trap is more of an indication of the win.

SS/TC trap: 102 mph
SRT4 trap: 103 mph

its gonna be DAMN close.

BTW TC got a 14.2 and CSRT4 got a 14.4....

The torque steer isnt too bad. The LSD helps quite a bit with it.

It doesn't have a mechanical LSD. It has an electronic brake-lock differential which is a joke. Apparently for 2009, Dodge decided to give it a mechanical LSD because of customer and press complaints...

This Caliber sucks ***** and I'm glad I don't work for Cerberus anymore...

Bullshit...you two don't even realize that it doesn't have a real LSD...

that is the lowest s197 gt trap i have seen in a looonnnggg time. The csrt-4 is not too quick stock, you should take one in an ss/tc. If it's modded tho watch out.

2x the above, caliber financing is horrible!!!!

Stock for stock, the cobalt is slightly faster but it will be a drivers race
you will walk him pretty good they are about .5 slower

Look forward to hearing the results. Be honest if you loose though. I think it will be close enough to be a drivers race. But IMNSHO the caliber is UGLY!

the CSRT4 is about 3100, the SS/TC is about 2900, so a 200 lb difference.

I test drove on before I bought the cobalt and no comparison. The car felt soooooo much heavier and less nimble!

And I come from a turbo dodge background! I liked the srt 4 neon, as that car was under 3k lbs, but the Caliber is too big and cumbersome in my opinion

I went to look at a caliber once but never went back for the test drive, cargo space is very minimal and it looks like a POS. Yes the "chill zone" is nice but cmon, there's gotta be an aftermarket company out there that sells a sealed cooler/chiller that plugs into your 12V socket, it not........forshame, lotta money to be made there.
