09 ss vs ms3
The ms3's tuning isnt near as easy/good as the ss's HPT. HPT can really squeeze some power out of the lnf. which is too bad because the 2.3l mzr disi could have potential. anyway I loved both cars but the torq on the ms3 is much more noticeable.
Yeah stock definitely, but once you start modding the MS3s the HP quickly catches up. But still fun
**** ms3s...im tellin you i ran him stock with my ss t/c and he did not impress me...from the jump at a 40 i pulled about 3 quarters of a car then he came up to about the same on me then didnt go anywhere after that...n i beat the same one until 5th gear in my rsx...idk they just dont impress me...and people got nerve sayin the cobalts are ugly ...those zoom zooms are f'in ugly

So many delusions about the ss/tc here. Its obviously the greatest tuner car EVERZS!
hmm no they are similar to the SS. The stock turbo starts to not be efficient between 300-350whp. Once you get near 350whp the forge internals are common. And with a big turbo they can make 400-450whp. But they have the same fuel issues the SS has which is the same, 400whp glass ceiling.

DUH! We have turboez. It means we beat ZR1s by 9 cars cause turbos are ALWAYS better.

Well there was 1 guy I know that had stock engine and a big gt35/36 turbo and was fine last I heard. I think he was waiting for funds or it to blow to do a fully built engine.
The rod blowing thing is still not fully known as there has been a couple stock and a couple modded going. its not a ramped issue that the internet has made it seem but obviously it is known. I only had a intake and bpv and I was happy with the power so I had no want to mod more. I havent stopped back to any ms3 forums in a while... but here in MN I my friends ms6 just dyno'd around 300whp bolted and cobb tuned. To get 400+whp its full bolt on, fmic and some tune time. I think most had boost controllers and bov. The gearing is so bad for 1/4's though so they still arent breaking those records haha. I dont think SS owners get how much gearing plays a roll.

PS what about the new MS3s? aren't they suposed to be geared like a billion times better?
They are said to have better cooling on the tmic, stiffer suspension and better gearing. I have not test driven one myself but from what I hear the gearing really wasnt changed too much. Supposedly 1-5 were made to be slightly taller.
Lawl 'better' cooling for the top mount. But yeah, they look so good now. Improvement on an already good looking car.

Anyways, the original idea of this thread: MS3 vs. SS/TC isn't a bad one. Cars of the same class (FWD, I-4T)- it's a driver's race IMO. Now with the mods listed, the MS3 should win since the OP is not tuned and therefore his mods are useless. Again... if the driver of the MS3 has down syndrome, then the cobalt might pull...
As for your 220hp RSX beating a MS3 - I'm calling you out. That's total horseshit right there. The only time I've race an MS3 was with my old V6 Eclipse ~220hp minor bolt-ons and got beat by an MS3.. bus lengths in 3rd gear.

I looked at the MS3s and really liked them. I looked at the GTI as well. Both were very nice, but I couldn't afford either one and I wanted to try out an American car, so Cobalt it was. I have not been unhappy with my purchase at all, but I realize that the MS3 and GTI are both fine autos.
