1 week of brake dust =

these guys sure like to dust a lot, ~350 miles worth of driving, all you guys that want gunmetal rims just drive the normal ones around for a week...and there you go

If you put tire shine on your tires you could have got some on your wheels which would attract and hold on to brake dust a lot more.

I haven't put any shine on for 2 weeks (or cleaned the car for that matter, but thats because its rained pretty much everyday for the last 2 weeks), but I have cleaned the wheels 2-3 times.

1600 miles on my t/c i stoped trying to make the rims look perfect all the time after like 700 miles now its 1ce a week cleaning.

once u change the pads it'll be noticably cleaner...GM brakes SUCK big time

these once kick ass, but most pad material that kicks ass also dusts like a bitch

I read about someone using Rain-X on there rims and it keeps brake dust from sticking so it's easier to clean....

i switched to cheap autozone Duralast Gold pads and rotors and theres barely any dust and the quality is WAY better than stock...hardly any warping or pulsating and im HARD on my brakes

Wheel wax ftw. I have polished 18's, they are even harder to keep clean than those. Wheel wax works wonders.
