Same, seems a lot of dealers ordered without the LSD option, I think I got lucky the one I bought was custom ordered with every option and the to-be owner's insurance/financing didn't work out. As far as I know all the TCs and SCs at our meets have the LSD though at least I'm yet to hear someone say "nope I don't have it".

 

I just want to know if there are any other SRTM 2008 cobalts made in or before May 2008?... My build date falls somewhere in there... (1g1ap18x187316123 - could someone look up the exact date?)....

I think I am in the top 25 made but I am really curious to find out...

Oh, and there are only 126 SRTM for 2008 on the road now.... one was totalled over the summer...

There's no Silver Ice Metallic on that chart for 09. I'm the only Silver Ice Coupe in Winnipeg, next beside a sedan.

 

Well there's a silver on the silver on the chart, so your car is obviously "Switchblade Silver" according to the chart.

These numbers partially explain why it took until YESTERDAY for me to spot an SS/TC coupe that wasn't sitting on the dealer's lot. As one can assume from the stats, it was black.

 

And to think the dealer said.. "And these Black Sedans are a rare find!" It's the MOST common SS Sedan!! LOL (Color me a fool.) Oh well, I love my car and I love the color.

 

They should be more precise with their colors. Silver Ice Metallic was a new color for '09.

I'm curious to know... I had a red 08 sport tint ordered from the factory. GM says it fell off the truck and they destroyed it and the VIN. Are they including that one in their count since it was actually built?

Patiently awaiting the SC breakdown and hopefully we'll get the 2.4 as well. I'm thinking a higher percentage of the LSJ's will be yellow.

 

So was that your motor on Ebay ....I think Morad had it or someone . They said it was a motor with 1 mile on it and came out of a car that fell off a truck.

No, wasn't mine. I never even got to see the car. But the dealership had to scramble to find me one. They ended up flying me to Pheonix, and I drove it back to Albuquerque

 

Mine was built in April of 2008 (I will double check this)

It came with 125 miles on the car from GM, as it was stated the first few had to go to MI for some "testing" or something? I always wondered how many were built before mine...

1/179 for a production car is rare no mater how you look at. The car including all colors is rare, even the coupes. I have seen 3 ss/tc coupes and 0 ss/tc sedans. I am going to go look and see if I can find when my car was made. I am pretty sure it was mad like a week to a week and half before I bought it in October 08.

 

I had a '95 S-10 SS that I thought was relatively rare (5000 or so) but the TC's are just plain scarce. Before I bought my Blackmobile had my eye on an '08 Imperial Blue listed for $17,500 but it was gone quick-no wonder I don't see many,lol.(It was one of the "wind damaged" batch as well).

I've kind've wondered when the Sedans started being built. And makes me laugh when I think the dealer I got it from had the 2 rarest colors in the Sedan. (rally yellow and victory red both LSD)
