Dealers have access to VIS (which will list the build dates). Most dealers will run this for you or post it in and someone can get it for you

I thought the build date was on one of the stickers right on the inside of the driver's door...

Edit: Just checked and it's there. Try looking at the sticker on the back side of the driver door itself, right by the door latch.

 

And I thought GTO's were rare.

 

Thats just the build month and year, not the exact date.

And I thought the same thing..but the spec event car has sunroof, the road track didnt .

The road and track car has to be this one....... It's the only one without a sunroof or LSD . All the other cars have both or one or the other.

It makes sense with the build date too. The article was done in November or was in the November issue so most likely done in September ......right when the car was coming off the line.

 

Yea..I was thinking it might of had LSD being it was a performance test..but a stripper is really odd, and the dates are close. That means just need to find 2 more RY's then and all 15 are accounted for lol....Sad most are on the dealers lots, or atleast still showing up on searches lol

 

More data is going to be posted on GM Tuner Source, most likely today, with all of the build option numbers for all Turbo Charged Cobalt SS Coupes and Sedan's

Hey Bill, can you share the story why the first few delivered Cobalt SS/TC's came to the dealer ships with ~125 miles on them, right off the truck? (Mine was one of them)

I "heard" they drove them to MI to do some more testing? How many had this "trip" on them, and what was the purpose?

Any insight?
