I didn't post OzmodiuSS options in this little list we have going here but if he doesn't mind ....I will just to make it more uniform . He isn't a strip down so it looks like only one stripper was ever made . .....And it figures it would be the one that got in magazine.

 

I want to know what was up with the 13 sedans that didn't get the black and gray seats! We were told when ordering that you could not do this. I wonder if they were special cars that GM showed around at shows and mags and such. i wanted all black and there seems to be 10 of them out there! Is this document going to be updated or is this all the info that you guys have?

 

Same...Wanted all black on the inside as well. Would even purchase it if GM had some Sedan Black/Black "seats" laying around

Mine has an "XX" in it and it wasn't a preproduction car...it was right at the beginning of the run...I think it was built 4/23/08 or something like that...

Yeah ......I didn't really know if the XX meant anything or not but it's the first one ive seen or noticed. IIRC pre production on the coupes was like Mid February of 08.




BTW does anyone have a wind damage car or know where one is for sale online? I'm trying to remember the build dates on those cars too .....I'm thinking may -june 08 IIRC.

I've got one of the wind damaged units: VIN 1G1AP18X587306839
Bought 12/1/08 in Michigan from dealer inventory(used)with 288 miles. It was the only one I researched that had supposedly been repainted by GM. Carfax indicates: sold @ auction in Michigan as a "manufacturer vehicle" on 8/18/08 with 91 miles;dealer took title 8/25 and offered for sale 9/02.
Found out its history after a little prodding and was assured it carried full warranty due to the repaint. I have e-mails/paperwork indicating same but I think it's flagged as a on the paint/body Got a good deal so w/e.
Most have probably heard about the cars damaged at the factory while awaiting shipment-a dealer in Tennesee mentioned his units were in a sandstorm while in transit to/from? some sort of testing in New Mexico? Curious if anyone can verify that.

Yep it's flagged , there isn't alot of info about who delivered the car. I think the original dealership that was supposed to get the car before the hail damage is listed thou.
