2008 Turbo Cobalt Upgrades?
THANK YOU! Screw the cobalt and fwd bullshit if you wanna go fast get the camaro... I know I will... Going next week to see what i can do about getting on some sort of list for it so I can have one of the first ones. And if i did buy that new cobalt with the almighty "turbo" i would pay gm to not put those ugly as **** rims on my car. God who the hell thought that those looked good. Jesus </Rant>
not that i want to make you balt guy's bust nuts but there is tune's out for the LNF.. 3 stage's..http://www.saturnmotorsports.com/cat...roducts_id=878

Really, they don't need to read every single post of every single LNF thread do they?
Me thinks somepeople are jealous.

I am some what interested but unless they do some major revisions to the power train its just not worth it because your going to shell out for aftermarket parts in the end anyway.
I heard from a guy who knows this guy, who knows this guy, that works for GM performance parts developments that they are going to have blow-off valve kits for the LNF. They will be using a HKS SSQ blow off valve which will also be included with the stage 2 lnf kit.
THERE IS NO BOV!!!!!!!!!!! (sorry bout caps I had to
)
It is a bypass valve that doesn't vent to the atmosphere it vents to the intake so you don't really hear it.
Well why doesn't everyone just go out and buy a base 2.2L cobalt and swap out the block for the 1.6L GM race block, and then just strap on two GT45 turbos?
I would assume that most people want a little more power, be faster than a S2 ss/sc, and still keep the warranty. Not to mention the car will only be offered for 1.5 years, it will be more rare than the LSJ balt.
Can you LNF haters just STFU!?!?!?!

from GM: 1.6L turbocharged engine for the Opel/Chevrolet/Vauxhall Astra and Opel Vauxhall Meriva. In the Opel Astra, this engine (132 kW/180 hp) replaces a 2.0L turbo (125 kW/170 hp) and improves fuel consumption and reduces C02 emissions by 14 percent.

I really think the TC cobalt will be not alot different. The car is rated at 260hp not whp. It will dyno around 220/230tq I will drive one but i will keep my SC if you guys want faster go build something for potential I bought the car not for a race car but somethng with nice power and to get to point A to point B. Geez its so stupid for everyone to be popping TC chubs just for a BOV thats so dumb.
THIS IS WHY I STARTED THIS THREAD, TO BE ENLIGHTENED ON POSSIBLE UPGRADES. NOT SO THE BABIES CAN CRY ABOUT HOW THIER SC IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE TC. LETS FORGET ABOUT THE NUMBERS (260HP/ 260TQ STOCK!!). SOME OF US ARE INTERESTED IN THE TURBO COBALTS. WHY MUST YOU RAIN ON OUR PARADE?

I hope you're being sarcastic because it's not true.
I think your guy needs to check his guy and make sure he's not on crack. Cause he's pulling your leg with wrong info.
ok no guy here except Tom at CED, the Solstice and Sky will have a stg 2 290hp kit
in 4-6 mos so its easy to think that a 280-290 stg 2 CSS-T kit will be released afterwards!
