That's becuase they are not using a blow-off valve that releases pressure outside of the system.

Something to think about. The Cobalt SS/SC had some issues, I am wondering if GM addressed them on the new car? Examples would be wheel hop, I have heard axels are not as strong as they should be and finally there has been discussions on this site about weak steering knuckles. More power just compounds these problems. Just some discussion points.
