advantage of powell rear swaybar

My car is my dd and i dont autocross it or anything. My question is does it make any difference at all if your just driving on the street? I was planning on getting the powell xxx bar but i dont want to get an expensive thing that does nothing for me.

I would go for the hardcore not the triple X for your uses, frankly.

here are some things I am sure you will notice with the rear bar.
Turn in on the street is more precise.
when braking car is more stable.
In cross winds on the highway the car feels more "planted" because it is...
Overall a "tighter" more responsive feel to the car on a day to day basis.

after a while you wont notice it. So just get into a buddies 'bolt with no bar...

u will understand. lol

Worth it's weight in gold. If you aren't gonna autocross the hardcore bar is more than enough for better street handling and manners. I love mine!

Be careful if you take the esc off though, she likes to get tail happy with it disengaged

No abrupt throttle lifts mid corner and the tail end is planted with ESC "off". More gentle throttle = get 'r done.
Hardcore - don't leave home without it.

I was debating on getting a rear bar as well. I'm DD with a maybe 2 track days and 2-3 autocross days a season. After my first track day with the car I definitely realised what a rear sway bar should be able to do for this car. I just haven't taken the time to start researching one as of yet. Also, what's the website for these?

when yall say tail happy do you mean that it finally rotates or that you've become a new FormulaD driver?

Hardcore was softcore for me, but my experience is different than 99% of the folks on this board. It never rotates suddenly or unexpectedly. Now it just responds better. In stock form, it wants to understeer when pushed. Now it will rotate if you make it rotate.

I will say that anything with Powell on it is the best in the business. Ask anyone on the site that isn't a cheap ass and I'm sure most will agree.

I'm running different tires front and rear right now to force the car to rotate with a stock swaybar and it still baaarrrreeelllyyyy drags the rear around... Off throttle and snapping back and forth just slide the rear a tad then that horrible understeer shows up...

I'm kind of surprised that the bar doesnt have atleast two sets of mounting holes to make it adjustable.

If you don't know how to drive FF then yes I suppose it could be difficult getting used to driving with this bar on the car. I love mine and it made a huge difference in the handling characteristics, it finally stopped under steering which is a hell of a lot more dangerous. With my car since I have an 07 SSSC if the car begins to step out in the rear just dab on a little power and it brings that rear right back inline.

One of the best upgrades I've done on my car, you will enjoy spirit driving the car so much more.

Yes you will be able to get the car to rotate a bit, but not like tire screeching drifting, just much less understeer. Pushes the car towards being neutral.

No it should never get that bad, unless it's really wet out and you are really throwing the car around. I was able to feel the rear end throw around a bit when letting off the throttle only once, but it's VERY predictable, and not too drastic.

ya, you push your car way harder than most people on this forum ever will.

the bar doesnt work that way and the twisting beam is not your average rear suspension in design and behavoiur.
