any have mpx front mount?
im a 2.2 turbo i have the mpx front mount. i have a hard time getting my bumper on. it rubs in two spots. any way to move the inter cooler back some?
I had it. Didn't like it. If you're lowered and scrape due to the mounting brackets being welded to the intercooler and having only one per side as well as them being quite flimsy compared to competitors such as zzp which I will vouch for is a solid intercooler that can beat off a speed bump and keep on trucking(hit one pulling into a quaker steak and lube and I'm not even lowered a lot) you can end up with cut couplers at the intercooler due to it moving to the point that it pushes the couplers into the seam welds on the body and cracked welds at the mounts. Otherwise its a good intercooler. Idk what to tell you about the bumper issue though, it wasn't meant to be mounted behind an LS bumper.

im on an ss bumper. with it being welded right to it it makes it hard. it seemed the best option when i needed one in a hurry now i wish i woulda got zzp or treadstone
You cannot hard mount an intercooler. It will crack. There's a reason why OEMs soft mount radiators, ac condensers, intercoolers, oil coolers, trans coolers, etc.

maybe I'm missing something;
Intercoolers & Pressure Piping - MPx Intercooler 08-10 Cobalt SS Turbo
I've only read of clearance issues ect with the other vendors parts;
I've understood that the MPX was intended to be a 100% direct bolt in, and from my research, it seemed like the safest bet for an SS/TC....
Is it possible that the perceived issue is because there is something missing from klutch's car which would prevent it from being a perfectly fitting part?
I dunno....
a local is on his second MPX intercooler though - he's lowered and smashed his first;
which he bought after smacking his OEM intercooler;
I don't recall any issues from him.

This, i busted a hole in the side of mine because in all honesty I didnt know any better and genuine Saab didnt send me anything. Now I have rubber grommets in there and can move the intercooler a little so it has room to flex/move when needed, I also had the intercooler pressure tested and some welds had to be redone.

Yea never again. They didnt respond to my emails and calling them was no help. I spent $200 in fixing there crap between redoing there welds and getting the brackets remounted and purchasing hardware to mount it. Only reason I went with them is because them and zzp are the only ones that made a IC that fits the hhr SS and CS's didnt fit for ****. I woulda went zzp from the beginning but when i purchased it theirs was out of stock. All my parts are zzp except the ic. So now I have a $600 intercooler that has been warrantied by a local company that fixed it becuase they felt bad for me.
