majectic amethyst was available on the ss/na in the US. i was actually looking at one before i purchased my ss/sc. it had leather seats, and was fully loaded, but came as an automatic. if it was a stick i prob. would have purchased it.

I use a california duster ......saves alot of washes that you would have to do because of dust or pollen . It doesn't scratch and traps dust on the 1st pass......no pushing it around . Without one I would have to wash my car 3 times a week. They are like 30 bucks and they make a small one for the dash.....that i use on my wheels lol.

Oh really I didn't know that. I've never seen pics of one except for in Canada so I assumed it was Canada only. I've seen a G5 GT in the amethyst too.

sick car man! can i ask what you paid for it (PM me if you want) cause im probably going to be ordering mine real soon. my dealer said they havent even heard anything or got any info on the 2010's yet though, so i dont know whats going on.

also, can you still get the highrise on the 2010's or is that no longer an option?

No more aero wing for 2010. I did want that . Most of the items that were options for 09 are now standard equipment for 2010 including the programable gauge instead of the boost/vacuum gauge. I don't know where you live but I ordered mine on August 20th. and had it September 22nd. I would find a new dealer real soon! Base was $26,000 and all said and done $29,000 something out the door. I have three F-Bodies, a 67SS350, an 87 IROC L98 and a 96 SS convertible and I like the Cobalt almost as much, although it is an everyday driver for me.

It is a dealer option, meaing when the car gets off the truck, they will install it for you. I'd recommend just waiting to see if you like the low wing but if you want the high one to then buy one from a member on here and save a few bucks.

thanks man, that sucks about the aero wing though. those are what drew me into the car the first year the sc's were made. i live in sask, so theres not too many dealerships around. i was there on tuesday, they said they havent received any info on the 2010's yet. i should go in there and show them that theres other people in canada that already have them haha.

edit: just saw acey's post, thanks man. its not that i dont like the low wing, cause i do. ive just always been a fan of the aero wing. but if theres atleast that option the dealer can do it for me if i want, that makes me feel better.

I don't think it is a dealer option. I had an "insider" at the Lordstown plant and there was no way I could get it for 2010 and especially in black granite. Apparently it wasn't available in that colour in 2009. Also, the salesperson knew how much I wanted that wing and if it was available as a dealer installed option, they would have told me. More money for them! You may get one aftermarket or from someone here I would think.

I think it's a a dealer option in the States, now that you mention it. Which would make sense since they can't get the Black Granite.

hmm... any questions you guys should ask one of the only 2010 owners here. (for the U.S.) Me. The wing is an option but it has to be requested. Black granite is available. If you look at the new 2010 ss brochure the car is a black granite ss with the high rise wing. LSD is still an option, the crappy boost gauge is now replaced with the digital reprogramable gauge (awesome btw) A little research before my purchase did me good.

There wouldn't be any problems if GM would just get their ******* site together.

GM can't even get their **** together with their products 90% of the time, why expect miracles on the website?

Agreed. GM is kinda useless. The Dealerships usually know nothing, the 1-800 knows nothing, the website is never updated... makes me wonder why they are having trouble figuring out why their doing so badly in our economy?

Well that's exclusively because their cars still have a reputation of being ****, be that the case or not.

i just ordered mine today. i was all over the black granite color, it was a non-option. believe me, i tried. (in US mind you) so i went with imperial blue.

low rise is standard. RPD is standard. only options i got to add were the sport pedals (which does anybody have a pic of? id like to see wtf i am paying $127 for LOL) and the LSD or 'g85'. only thing i did not get was the all weather floor mats which it will not need anyway.

This US stuff is whacked....
I sell these babies in Canada....ask 3whiterag.
Here all colours are available, except they may have limited built cycles...take the yellow sedan for an example. I believe it was like 2 weeks you could order that combo.....15 i think were made, brutal rare........nice
and LSD is not an option....you get it all or nothing.........

seriously any questions........i got it

LSD's still an option in the States... unless that's wrong, too. I don't see why they'd change that now.... the 2010 changes came out ages ago: sedan gone, RPD/roof standard, yellow gone, only black interior. It said they were adding crystal and black granite, but none of the releases said if they'd be available on the SS. I was 99% sure the red would be on the SS since that has been selling, but then chevy.com can't get their **** together so I don't know what the deal is as far as the US cars go.

I'm almost positive that blk granite isn't an SS option in the states . You can build an LS and an LT with black granite and silver moss ...... you cant build an SS with either one of those.
