Im just going by the fact you are sticking to the same story you did in emails and nobody else has mentioned that lol. Care to just say you are who you are? lol..
If the clutch was slipping, the boost and the load would drop off hard when it does. I tune these frequently and know what it looks like. Again, it makes no sense the clutch would start slipping after its well beyond the peak tq area and had showed no sign of slipping there. This turbo isn't nearly as responsive or harsh on immediate tq like the stocker is. Which is what causes the stock clutches to slip, immediate high levels of tq.
Just look at Cuban's graph, line is dead flat and shows no sign of slippage. Just not making what is advertised. These things happen when trying new things out. Nobody is attacking anyone here, just stating it isn't performing as expected so beware to the customer.
Edit: That and the obvious, your only posts are in this thread lol.... 4 posts all in the BNR thread.

The 2860 is rated at 360 Brake HP. Have you run more than 22 psi?

I am using the factory boost control but can certainly make it work just fine without it like I have on other big turbo cars. That is not the issue here..
The car made worse and worse pulls going higher in boost, as you can see from the graph. Looks like the turbo is choking up top IMO.

No, I never emailed Brian about my turbo.
I'm just stating the whole "its the clutch" thing will be out of the equation. Along with the catless DP.
I've been happy with my Turbo thus far, I'm just going to put a end to the or with the BNR GT2871.
By doing dyno pulls against 3 other Cobalts SS/TC's ranging from Stock/tuned to full bolt ons/tuned on the same dyno, the same day with my bolt on/tuned BNR GT2871.
All of us are Trifecta tuned..
Really shouldn't be any doubt if its worth it or not after that. Like I said I made good bolt on power in the first initial dyno run vs. a bolt on tuned Cobalt SS/TC, but it was a week difference between dynos.
Same day, same dyno, same tunes, no doubt, no excuses.
Now the BNR GT2860, thats up to you all that have that to figure it out.

Okay, I hate to bring the noob in to this technical conversation, but I'm not following all that much.
The guy with the BNR2860 got 50whp gains for $1000, that's what $20 a horse correct?
I spent $980 I believe for all my performance mods which I gained a total of 76whp which is around $13 a horse correct? This price doesn't include installation, intercooler and trifecta cable that I choose to keep, exhaust, bpv etc. Only things I believe increased actual whp. It'd be more if I choose a CAI or SRI.
To me if I gain 50 extra horses (which would make me 360whp) on a BNR2860 over my stock K04 for $20 per horse, that doesn't seem that bad to me. IIRC the ZZP EFR is gonna be like $2500 and increase 100whp to 200whp so the max is $25 a horse down to $12 a horse correct? Its in the same ball park to me.
Plus trying to follow, it seems the BNR2860 is like a K04++ which I also read that it's more reliable than the BNR2871 correct? So if the BNR2871 is less reliable because of the stress it presents is this true for ZZP's EFR? If not then sure I can see where ZZP is better, but to me if I can save $1000 and get to my target goal of 350whp on 91 octane at 6100ft above sea level and have the most reliable system I can get, then I don't see a problem with it.
Yes this is uneducated talk so if this is completely stupid I apologize for it. I'm just trying to follow, and feel free to correct me if I"m wrong

JB not coming with his SS/TC, I want to see what he really puts down vs. all of us?
BYT I know your a great tuner, but maybe call DDM and see if they can give you some insight about the BNR turbos, they call them DDM 2860 & 2871 on there site.
They do have a dyno graph of the BNR 2871 making 371 whp and the 2860 making 320 whp on there Solstice/GXP's.

Please post the graphs from these cars. Not even for my own sake, people in your thread here are curious to see what they actually do and nobody else is offering up the goods.

I have spent 300.00 in mods for a 90-100WHP increase. Thats 3.00 a hp on a stock K04....
Also E85 BYT tune and AB mod dropped my ET from a 14.2@103MPH to a 12.94@112. sooooo thats 33.00 a MPH in the 1/4 and 230.00 per second dropped in the 1/4. Also another sedan here has the 2871 upgrade and ran the EXACT et as me with a 117 MPH trap. (He was also at 1K ft, and I race at 3200 ft at SIR.)
its just not worth it to me.

They have charts before the turbo, and after the turbo. Same gas, same boost same elevation, same ambient temps ect to make it apples to apples.

Plus I want to ride in the red sled and see it kick a 5.0 GT's ass so I can laugh at him
