I dunno if this is in the right forum but here is goes I have the R1 front drilled and slotted rotors and when I brake the steering wheel shakes and I was wondering if we could get this turned or even milled down to stop the shaking

Negative ghost rider. I wanted to get some slotted rotors turned and all the chain and independent shops said no. They said it is hard on their cutting bits.

I just bought a new set of solid and vented rotors.

 

Ive turned 2 sets of drilled and slotted rotors but then again i did them and i could see them as to harsh for the bits but wouldnt be certain in that

 

They can be turned, just need to take off less material per pass to help reduce wear on the bit.

 

Well even if they where blanks i wouldnt go to deep either small increments its the best. Also depends on how badly warped the rotors are

 

I did ask around town and one said they have a machine that can turn them while they are still on the car I dunno how that works but I might just try but I do need to get ahold of R1 and look at a set just in case they do chip a chunk out

 

Yup the machine i used is called a procut is an onboard cutter really easy to use actually
