And how it sounds on my Supercharged Cobalt. Raspy as a mofucka. Sound ******* badass at idle and WOT tho. Nice low tone, up until about 50-90% throttle. WOT is it own beasty sound, supercharger takes over LOL.

Note: Engine temp 160, exhaust not even close to warmed up lol.

Wish mine sounded like the turbo's do. Badass sound.

I am saying I have never heard an aftermarket exhaust that sounds good on a four cylinder. People who put exhaust on their cobalt are the very reason why sports cars laugh at tuners.

Don't get me wrong I love my cobalt but I hate that it cassifys me being a silly cobalt owner to the rest of car community.

Doing catless dp and full catbacks is not ricer status just cuz we have 4 bangers, most v8's get raped daily by us so it's all good lol

How so? I never assumed anyone dislikes my car, in fact I could care less what people think of it

I guess was brought of differently than the rest of the community here. My "Tuner" is a wonderful DD but my fun cars are my chevelle and corvette. IMO much cooler cars even if they are slower. I don't live my life a 1/4 mile at a time.

This. My catless downpipe sounds great with my stock catback. If I were to ever get a bigger exhaust I'd keep the muffler on that too.

Im about to get a muffler for my car. I've been running 3" straight tbe for a year. The turbo swap made it louder.

Sorry I didn't check back to this thread.
I did not have any pictures of them side by side so I just took a picture of them in the garage. Both vehicle are catless
The C6 and the impala are not mine.

Currently have catless dp with muffler delete. Will upgrading to mpx's 3in straight pipe sound much different? Or should I save the cash?

IMHO it does. Muffler delete is kinda raspy especially catless. I had a 3" mandrel exhaust systems catback with a Borla XR1 on it. Sounded mean when on it but not as raspy as a muffler delete.

Indeed. Also in light of my previous statement above (over 6 months ago) I'm indeed going with a 3" catback. I plan to get one with a muffler though, I don't recall ANYBODY saying that it isn't an improvement in sound.

i was debating going with that same system.. but I still find it hard to cough up the coin when the performance really is going to be unchanged (for the most part) on the k04. Do you have any pics of this said 3" system?

No but it fit great, sounded good and I gained 6whp with it LOL. You have to have the muffler welded onto the catback section which is not a huge deal.

Muffler delete with catless DP or even high flow catted DP is kinda raspy and drones sometimes. I would go with a 3" catback. Never heard turboXs's catback though.

right now they are coming out with a 304 3" stainless system with tip/hangers installed for $300 shipped.. really debating grabbing that then just tossing on as big of a resonator as I can fit in time, or I could leave it completely 3" straight piped and make some noise . I can swallow a $300 bill for exhaust with minor gains but when like ZZP and TurboXS are asking $450+.. yeah no thanks
