Check engine light

my check engine light went on yesterday so i had my work check it out and the code says i have a misfire in one of the cylenders. I only have 4500miles on my 09 and i dont even race all like that, i drive it normaly and maybe get on it when i goto get on the highway or i drop it down in 3rd sometimes onthe highway and gun it once in a great while but thats it. The major cause the diagnostic gave is that it could just be a faulty spark plug, wires, or coil. Other stuff was a vacume leak, or high/Low fuel press. Anyone else have this problem ?

If it says which cylinder (which I'm sure it does) swap the coil with one of the others. If the miss follows the coil... there ya go. It'll take ya 5 minutes if that.
If not, do the same with the spark plug.

OR... do what I did. Take it to the dealer.

Dealer doesn't know what's wrong, at least in my case. Supposedly GM is working on this problem, but I don't have much hope they will fix it soon.

well got it back from the dealer today, and they said that there was nothing mechanicaly wrong so they flashed the computer and drove it around a bit and the code never came back up. So they said if it happens again to bring it back in. However on the sheet they gave me it says that the code may be due to aftermarket intake. I was like no it ist iv had it on for over 1kmiles without throwing a code and Hahns intake is even one of the recomended performance intakes on the GM Tunersource. Plus bolt ons dont void the warranty anyways which he agreed. However he did say that if it was cold the night before it could have just not registered till the next day. I guess sometimes the cold can mess with it from what they said. But at least that rechid anoying light is gone for now

Sounds like the exact same problem as mine. The light will come back on most likely. Mine used to come on about once a month...then once every couple weeks....now it comes on almost every day. I use dashdaq to clear the CEL just because it's annoying. I been into the dealer many times about this and they don't have any idea what to do. Still waiting on GM to see what they can come up with, but I don't expect anything soon.
