Check Engine Light Is on. Nothing is going wrong with the car?

I drove the car a little earlier today. I didn't notice a code, then drove again tonight, and when I turned the car on it was on.

I should note I NLS way to much.

The car shows no signs of problems, all the hose look connected and good, etc.

I read on here it may just be a misfire from NLS'ing and that it should go away? If not is there any way to check the code without a OBDII scanner?

I know there was a trick for most if not all of the 90's cars to check what the code is without that fancy scanner stuff.

im not sure about that unless its a cat C16 engine haha. why dont u want to scan it. u can ghetto reset it. unhook your battery for like 5 minutes, if its not a reoccuring code it will go away. but u gotta reset your clock, radio stations, i had it **** my tune up before. so just some warnings
