I'm in miami past 3 days been in the 40s the weather. I got this check light this morningP0497 evap emission sys. Low purge flow
What does this mean?

I have 09 ss tc with 6500 miles

 

Most likely the purge solenoid crapped out. Warranty it.

 

Look on the left of the intake. There will be a steel line running with a purge cap on top. Mine popped off but they gave me a new one under warranty. It is not a problem to drive with it off; it is simply fior emissions

 

^^^ Yeah I keep throwing the same code I just went outside and realized that the cap was on lose so I tightned it. Hopefully that is what the issue is

 

Mine was completely off and had a CEL, but it went away before I did anything. I got it replaced anyway

 

can someone post a pic of how the top looks like and the area where to find this. im retarded

 

Its right under the intake, its a black cap on a silver line.

 

Directly in between the passenger side strut mount and the intake, right up against the firewall
