Cobalt SS/TC commercial??

Im just wondering why there are NO cobalt commercials since the car 1st came out? I mean look at the scion commercials, the new ones they have make me want a scion sometimes. Would it not be more beneficial to advertise the car and show people the changes from the SC to the TC versions? Just a thought

what commercials do is help sales out..usually if a car isnt sold really good they advertise a commercial so the public knows that the car costs this much and goes this fast and so on...

but in scions case,i guess they are trying to attract the younger people 16-25yrs old to buy the car and mod them so the car can fit into the tuner scene

GM Cannot make the cobalts fast enough... they don't need to advertise any of the trims.

WTF? You have NO clue what you are talking about.

The reason there are no SS/TC commercials is simply an issue of this being a small sales volume model. There is no need to advertise it using traditional broadcast television because the costs associated are astronomically high. They are much better catering to their small customer base via the internet and print, which cost substantially less. Also, a vehicle like this gains the attention of automotive publications and enthusiasts...IE: free media such as this website.

They spent a ton of money on the Cobalt launch to create awareness. For redesigns and launch vehicles massive amounts of money are spent...in 2005 the Cobalt had several prime time spots, but since that campaign the necessity to spend big has diminished because people are aware of this vehicle. Now, they rely primarily on those gimmicky dealer spots to promote these vehicles.

I'm certain gas prices had nothing to do with this.

You guys are aware that the cobalt is no more as of 2011, gm is only going to advertise on their hybrids and electrics coming out soon. Funny how I fell in love with the balt during the the 2004 olympics and this year it's all about the hybrids and volt. No mention of the Camaro next year.

I lied, I was being 100% sarcastic.

Have you noticed where its mentioned in the 36mpg commercial? Right under all the sale prices it always says "Excludes 2008 Cobalt SS Turbocharged"

How many are they going to make? 5k? this year maybe? No need to advertise. Guess they figure word of mouth is enough/c&d crowd.

If you want a scion I'd suggest a ricer-cism.
