no one has really put them on these cars yet. 1 member has bg coilovers and likes them but the directions are not very good. ottp is testing out the pedders xa coilovers. i would wait a little bit until more products get tested.

I'm using a Ground Control coilover kit on my 09 SS coupe and am pleased with it. My setup is a little different because I'm using Koni shocks/struts -- but the few changes I had to make on the install were very easy. I also have B&G camber plates, which took a little modifying because Koni struts have a 14mm bolt, but I drilled and tapped the parts and they work just fine.

I picked Ground Control because a: they were the least expensive and b: they use 'standard' sized (2.5" ID) coils. So I'm able to get any length and any strength coils without any major problems. I have a set of 550lb x 2.5" ID x 6" springs (front), a set of 650 lb x 2.5" ID x 7" springs (front or rear), a set of 360lb x 2.5" ID x 7" springs (front or rear) and a set of 250lb x 2.5" ID x 8" springs (front or rear). Ground control supplies 6" long springs up front but you could use anything from 6-8 inches up front. They supply 8" long springs in the rear, but I have used 7" without problems. Bottom line, you have choices. I use the 8" 250s and the 7" 360s on the street. The 550s and 650s are strictly for autocross.

Here's the Ground Control link for the Cobalt -- http://www.ground-control-store.com/products/search.php -- about $400.

Here's a link for springs (remember, 2.5" ID) from both Eiback and Hypercoil -- http://www.eshocks.com/hyp_make.asp -- normally $55-$60 per spring.

Here's a site for the B&G systems Cobalt camber plates -- which can now be purchased separately -- http://b-gsuspension.blogspot.com/20...ces-their.html

Gravana has the camber plates for sale -- http://www.gravanatuning.com/5848/1/...e_2.0_FWD.html -- they cost about $200.

Most coilover vendors use their own, 'proprietary' springs so you're very limited about your choices if you pick someones unique coilovers.

I'm going to install a set of D2 Racing coilovers. A friend of mine that had an 07 SS coupe tried out a set for me, liked them, so now it's my turn. I just haven't gotten around to installing them. My friend just traded in his SS coupe so the coilovers were taken out prior. I have his used D2 coilovers for sale, has less than 2000kms on them, with original box. PM me if your interested.

These are pictures of my set.

BC racing (not B&G) is what I am looking to install. Tein is developing some Basic's. Otherwise I don't see anything that is good enough for me. I liek the KONI and Ground Control coilovers... might have to look into that.

Based on where we are (Canada) ,the used set that I got back from my friend, I'll take $700.00CAD plus shipping. The new set worked out to around ~$1200.00CAD after I paid the customs and taxes and shipping.

The front struts have adjustable camber plates. The struts/shocks have adjustable dampening.

I did not have that much money, I got the pedders springs. I also am trying to set my car up for time attack in the stock class and the rules are changing for 2010 and when you get coil overs it gets slightly detailed as to what you can and cannot have so I just said screw it springs it is.

My bar is bent, just waiting on paint.
Once I get that, the whole setup will go on
I have the only set of XAs with pillowball mounts and camber plates, I believe
I also have powergrip endlinks and an OTTP street sway bar
I think they are waiting for a few cars to put a few months on them before mass production
