They're all numbskulls, I have yet to meet a truly knowledgeable dealer tech.

My money is on the owner's new car fears and speculation.

First WAIT til over 1000 miles.... the new ECUs have a "green tune" for the first 1000 miles for break in. this is a tune that cuts power to protect the engine!

second, if after that its still like that, it sounds like a misfire, could be bad plugs, could be bad gas. it happens.

third bring it to the dealer before you touch it

I didn't experience this, I didn't go WOT during the first 500 miles (the manual break in period), but after that I did and didn't notice the ECU pulling any power, feels the same now @ 1800 than it did at 500

What's funny is when the ss/sc first came out they had that same issue with idling and ****. So with a new car, motor, and different forced induction set up they still can get the map right lol. Way to go GM!! LOL.

Take it in dude, you pay for a warranty for a reason, and I'm sure it's what duke is saying. Let them reflash it and see how it runs.

did you get this car in the last couple days? because i test drove a red ss/tc from McDorman 2 days ago (wednesday) and it was fine then... A friend of mine was looking to trade in his S2000 for one so we were out checking it out. It was low on gas at the time, so maybe they refilled it with 87. It had 50 miles on it when we drove it.

by the way... I got mine from McDorman, and it had brake-switch issues right off the lot... McDorman is really good about getting stuff fixed under warranty. Just take it back. They'll be nice about it.

the only issue i had with the guys at McDorman is that when i was having issues with my brake lights, i did research myself (including asking around here) and determined that it was definitely the brake switch. They didnt believe me, wanted to try to figure it out themselves, and it took 2 trips back before the finally admitted I was right and replaced the brake switch. But in the end, they apologized and were always super nice about it.

I'm not a huge fan of ricart, personally. But hopefully they'll take care of it for you.

Well, your name is boostking, you're supposed to be the master tech at a Nissan dealership on the GTR no-less; and you can't seem to diagnose a ghost issue on your brand new turbo SS...

Did I miss anything?

go take your mouth somewhere other than my thread. I have not done anything to the car because I wanted some input about how the car performs during break in so I know if diag is needed. gathering all info about car and how it performs is the first step in diag. inwhch I did. therefore you post is useless nor is it needed.
