Couple of Questions
I have a couple of questions I need some help with guys.
1. I'm looking at buying a short antenna and need some little advise on where to go for it. Or even better, can it just be removed and patched up? Because I only listen to XM or my iPod, I have no use for local channels.
2. For anyone who has changed the headlights in their Cobalt, how difficult was it? I'm thinking about buying a set of the 3rd Generation projector headlights and I'm just wondering if it's as easy as doing at home or if it requires bringing to the dealership or something to do.
Thanks in advance.

This thread just came up a couple days ago. It's way easier than shaving the antenna, and is reversible. Plus it only costs about 2 bucks and 3 minutes of your time.

Could you, or someone else, possibly elaborate on this... I don't quite understand what you are talking about. I assume this is for the antenna but a little more detail would help. thanks

1.) Unscrew your antenna
2.) Measure 10-12" from the base (go much shorter and your reception may suffer)
3.) Cut with drimmel saw (nice clean cut)
4.) Put very small piece of electrical tape on end
5.) Go out and buy a cheesy 8-ball valve stem cover (or any other valve stem color)
6.) Epoxy onto the end
7.) Lightly sand
8.) Paint with GM touch up paint in your color (a must have regardless) x 3
9.) Paint with clear coat x 2
10.) Reinstall
The whole thing takes about 2 hours and then you should let it dry overnight...
I also have the 3rd gen CCFLs (black)....The install was easy. We did have to slightly modify the existing brackets with the dremmel to make sure they lined up perfectly but that was easy....The hardest thing is actually trying to align them...that is a pain
