Cutting springs

I currently have eibach lowering springs on my car and I'm not satisfied with the height difference
How bad would they ride if I were to cut them ? Exactly one coil ( about another 1"-1 1/2")?
And I am really not worried about ride quality

Sportlines were the wrong springs for you if you are concerned about ride quality. Also... don't do it lol.

Lol if you cut dead coils it wont make much difference in ride height, just the thickness of the dead coils. If you cut one or two of the working coils, the spring will collapse.

not a good move. Good luck.

lol.. You and whoever rides in the car with you sure will be if you do ever decide to cut the springs. You might as well just torch and compress the springs while you're at it and really destroy the ride quality of the car.

Because... you're cutting the top coil off, which is where your ride comfort comes from... if you want a stiff ride get coilovers.

Also, if you were to cut them with heat, it ruins the spring.

Actually I was gonna cut one section off directly above where the bottom of the spring stops. That way the new cut portion still rides in that notch

Ok we know what it will ride like if cut from top.

When you have 4 Dead coils, can you cut the bottom 2 off from maybe .75" lower and not have any change in ride? Then you might have the issue of them not seating correctly and falling out....in rear anyway maybe.

should have got b&g springs, or ark gt-f springs, because they slam the car in the front and REAR, rather than most springs giving a rake...dont cut the springs, period
