Ok they didn't piece any of the 08 cobalt ss/tc ok, they stopped production to make the 09's yes they messed up they should have made them 09 all along. The guy i talk to at the lordstown ohio plant just talked to me and he sat in my car today on the lot along with 1000 other cobalt ss/tc they are on batch hold, he wouldn't tell me why because there are many rumors and he is not sure which one to tell me, he doesn't want the wrong info to get out.

 

I'd wait... the '09's have newer better features apparently. The dealers gonna email me with what the new ones have.

 

The 09's are going on order officially next week, that is what i heard.

 

Yeah I called the dealership today and said switch my order to an '09 which is good since I already paid a deposit. Just waiting till September is gonna suck, plus I'm worried that they're going to have ANOTHER problem.

ahhh it will come quick, i hope they learned their lesson on this one, just not sure what could be wrong they released a lot of show models and test mules and no issue, but still a batch hold and no word from GM.

 

oh yea forsure they are kool dudes... but not big enough to be getting many SS.. they get one or 2 here and there but if your looking to get a first batch call them places i listed by us

They SHOULD be done in September...I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that there's not some other lame problem. Then I might as well wait and get a camaro in like 2020.

 

this sucks it almost makes me wanna buy a ss/sc and stage 2 it -.- i dont wanna wait till september unless there doing alot of different things with the car im not a "oh ill wait for a cool radio " if its a power increase mabe if its a tranny upgrade yeah but if its just a couple different options eff that

So what has GM said about this? Anything? Do we know why everything got all messed up and now they're not coming out for 4 more months? And are the ones that are already built really scrapped down to lower models?

 

no dude they are coming out 100% fact... it was a myth that they were goin to break the models down... they will be around ure dealers in about 2 weeks stay posted mine should be here soon

Lol but they did cancel hundreds of orders....being that the dealership I ordered mine from heard from GM today about it...the only people who ARE getting theirs are the ones that ordered them early. I'm glad I'm waiting for an '09. It won't be out of date and they should get rid of any of the kinks the 2008's have.

 

They did cancel many orders, but those were cars that weren't built yet. The cancelled the 08 orders because 09 orders should take place this monday

 

Report that dealer to GM... they are dumb.

 

Strange since mine was still planned to be build on Manday the 19 when I asked for it yesterday!
