I had an 05 STi and it was rumored that if you drove it slow, the ecu would adjust to get better mileage, this would make the car slower until you got on it a few times. Does the SS/TC do this? I havent honked on it in about a week, got on it this morning and it just didnt seem powerful.

The ecu always adjusts to the programmed 260hp/260trq level unless you change it.

No, you are just getting used to the power you have. Happens to us all.

Yea, I guess so. It's likely that all that cold weather that we don't have anymore made a difference, too.

Yep, no matter how fast your car is eventually it will feel slow to you because you get used to it. Just go drive a Ranger or something and she will feel fast again.

Refer to "Just Drove a Veyron, Not Impressed" thread. That guy must've been a fighter pilot.

Yeah 0-60 in 2.5 seconds and 0-100 in ~5 seconds is fast compared to almost everything on the streets anywhere.

On a STi or TC as long as you don't get into boost, you will get good gas mileage.

Have a nice trip to VN. Those long plane rides just sucks! Well unless you're in business class.
