Door panel rubbing on dash

I noticed yesterday that my left door panel is rubbing on my dash. It is leaving a little bit of a wear mark. The panel is rubbing on the silver part. Anyone else having this problem? And could I demand the dealer replace one or both of the parts?

I apologize for the concern you’re experiencing with your Cobalt. I would definitely suggest at least speaking with your dealership to see what their thoughts are on the situation. Would you mind keeping me updated on your progress?

Thanks,

It seems to be in every thread I lead the last week. If you ask me I think it is just a pile of BS.

*read, not lead.

I have a similar problem on my car, the passenger door rubs against the plastic on the dash and makes an irritating rubbing/smacking noise over bumps. I tried to heat up the door and press something between the door and dash to make space between the two but it didn't really work. I put some squeak reduction tape between the two, it seems better.

I don't think there's much adjustment that can be done with the door or the door panel, but when I did some work on the dash, it's all bolted together, maybe you can undo the screws and move it a little towards the other side? Just a thought.
