Just picked up my 09 ss/tc with 52,000 miles. 3rd owner, no warranties except the NY state 2month/3000mi used car. I can tell the previous owner was a bit of an aggressive driver, but he only had it for the last 10k

Reading about the porous block problems for the 09's has me pinching off a loaf and looking into 3rd party warranties.

I can get a FULL coverage warranty, which covers EVERYTHING or pretty much anything that isn't a wearable item until 100,000mi for around $2,200 no deductible for repairs. Even if it's a leaking axle seal, warranty will cover it

Being as I am a auto tech by profession, if anything does ever happen I will essentially get paid to fix my own car and know this it's done correctly aswell.

Question is, is it worth it? If the block was going to crack, do you think it would have happened already? I pressure tested the cooling system and checked for mix in the oil before I bought it, and did not see any signs of it.
