I hate to be the one to say this but are you turning traction control off?

So I have an ongoing arguement with a few other cobalters and they seem to think lsd is only good for cornering and not straight line runs, thoughts?

How is one wheel losing traction and the other grabbing in a straight line not good?

Whats the best combination as far as rpm's on stock tires for a good launch? I'm thinking that the 5k limited on launch control is a bad idea because it will either wheel hop like a champ or spin. Any input would be appreciated. *this run I left the line easing into first and second until about 2,500 rpms then slowly laid into it and still spun a bit until around 4,300rpms*
looking at your 60ft your spinning a little to much.

If you shave .4 off that 60' time you should be in the low-mid 13s easy.

And on the lsd arguement I spin both tires straight line. I've done it numerous times in my car and i dont have lsd. I leave 2 solid tire marks through 1st and 2nd.

I cut a 2.1 on stock conti's ( i think i had 24 psi in the tires) leaving at 2200 rpm and ridding the clutch a little . 2.1 isn't anything that great but it really helps ET's (went 13.4 on my old superchips tune ...nothing to brag about) Some of you guys are trying to leave to hard at too high an rpm. I havent been back with the trifecta tune but when i do I'll be leaving at the same 2200 with nitto 555's

Did you pretty much have the clutch 1/4 of the way out and engage it right before green?

I had it out just enough to be off the floor ...not moving the car . I can't remember exactly but from the time i engage the clutch enough to move the car ....till full engagement is about a full second or so. It's hard to explain but I kinda ride the clutch out just enough to keep it from bogging ....but get it fully engaged in 2 car lengths so I can get on the throttle as soon as i can .

Have you ever seen how a sport bike has to launch .... they keep the R's up and ride the clutch out ....it's kinda like that but not to that extreme.

My brothers old Z24 was an open diff. and it always spun posi in a straight line . I've also seen non LSD cobalt SS's spin posi on straight even road surfaces . I think LSD really shows up when picking back up on the throttle on corner exit ... non lsd cars will light up the inside tire . I'm no expert ...plus both my SS/SC and TC had LSD so i've never driven on without it to compare it to.
