First evidence of clutch slip :(

So in WOT in 2nd gear today I noticed my clutch slipping (my rpms were climbing but my speedo was not). How long do you guys think I have till I need a new clutch?

Time for a new clutch.. You can shift at high rpms and baby it and it should last awhile but that's no fun.. Lol

It could of been hot and you glazed it just do this and it might help it

Mine started slipping about a year ago. As far as i can tell it hasn't gotten worse. I'm not too agressive of a driver though. I just start out a lil over 4k if i plan to romp it. Works for me so far.

Mine has been slipping for almost 2 years now and it has actually gotten better over time so I would not worry too much about it.

Mine did that too. I actually slipped it bad on a 2nd gear clutch drop (don't ask me about that lol) and no slip ever since.

ive been running mine like that for about a month now. it slips if i try to take off quick in first right after a start up. (i don't get on it after first start up, only when its warm) and it will slip if im at low rpm's and mash it. other than that, im still limping around on it

This is the first time I have noticed any slip at all, later that night i did not get any clutch slip. The temperature is getting a lot colder here.

Yeah its weird, my clutch slipped more with lower miles than it does now. Dont forget its colder out so it may not have been quite ready for the pull. Not to mention that the colder air helps the power delivery a little sooner too.

I know I'm probably an idiot, but it seems almost as though the clutch is designed to slip to protect engine internals... since anything over 350hp/tq gets to be a touchy subject for the stock transmission, its almost as if the clutch is a failsafe.

I digress, went out today for some MAF tuning and had 2nd slip pretty hard at about 2500rpms at a launch from a dig. The next time I got on it in 2nd it put all the tq to the wheels and burned rubber at like 50mph with no slip whatsoever. Weird stuff.

Term is still on the stock clutch, I'm SPEC Stage2+ and ZZP rod. No slippage at ~390 wtq.

Spins the tires a bit in third at times tho.

I've had mine slip in 3rd and 4th but never 2nd. Do you have a good set of tires?....mine spins in 2nd rather than slips the clutch . Did it slip after a shift or was the clutch fully engaged when you mashed the throttle?

It's weird that the first time you've noticed it is in 2nd..... that means its pretty bad. Usually you noticed it in 3rd and 4th long before it happens in 2nd. If that makes any sense lol.

Mine slipped once in 3rd at around 4k. Guess I'll see how it goes and get better clutch sometime down the road if it gets worse.
