GM factory closures

Gm closes factorys in Wisconsin and Ohio temporarily. ut oh

I hope this doesn't effect the LNF stage kit release. I know they only make SUV's at those 2 locations but obviously money is tight around GM

if gm uses this money wisely, they can get back on their feet. I dont think they will stop the lnf kits unless they went bankrupt. They know theres alot of people waiting to get the kit.

up in till yester day i worked at the GM plant in oshawa ON and they are down till mid febuary and their's rumers that they might be down till april or may.. at the oshawa plant they make the impala in plant # 2 and the camaro in plant #1

every year the automakers close their factories for 2weeks, this year they just extended that another 2 weeks... not that big of a deal honestly

well you know it's a big deal when the best selling car plant ( the impala) is shuting down for three weeks extra or more and their dropping a shift and also they are slowing the lind speed from 78 an hour to 45 an hour.. also in all the years that i worked there they never ever drained the assembly line right completely empty the only reason that they would do that is because they were planing on a long long shut down.. when i say drain the line out i mean no cars from BIW all the way to Chassis final finnish

It's not temporary. We already received "closed plant status". They say the plants are idle because it has to be negotiated with the UAW when our contract is up.

everything is shutting down up here we in the auto industry r f***ed. I work in cnc and machining and was lucky enough to find a company that did nothing w/ auto after this **** happend and i got laid off .... be prepared everyone its only going to get worse for a bit or a while who knows ..... be smart

edit: i don't post much but once again be careful if not then have fun, if u make it thru .... good for u, otherwise, save. if u think i don't know what im talking about im from london area and th economy scares everyone here its ridiculous

Yeah i think there are 1 or 2 or maybe more already shut down in Lansing, MI right now.
