These wheels will most likely be an option on the 09’s since they start producing those in a few more months.

They did not change the bolt pattern .

...and to the people at GM . Can you please price these in line with aftermarket wheels . I would purchase this rim thru GMPP for my 05 because frankly our aftermarket wheel selections are beyond pathetic . But I will in no way shape or form will spend 300-700 bux a rim like most OEM GM rims are priced .

I don't like how all black wheels blend with the tire and when the tire is a little dirty and not all clean, I think it makes it look bad.

Black wheels would look really sweet on my Yellow SS/TC.
I might have to see how much it would cost to have them done.

I would much rather it have a chrome lip, I hate black rims on black tires without a divider, it looks too plain. that's why steelies and cop rims look so ugly.

Ok, I'm not gonna read all 9 pages.... stopped at 4.

But here's my take. Those wheels are nice looking, but too dark for a factory GM car. Correct me if I'm wrong but the only car that GM has done with black wheels in recent years (i know the pictured ones are not solid black...but its close enough) was the Corvette GS in 96. Now GM does have a darker wheel option on the Corvette with the Comp Grey wheels. My personal opinion on those is they are very car color dependent. Some colors go well with it, others, not so much. That being said, a SS/TC would look really good with Comp Grey. If GM doesn't do it officially....I just might for my SS.

As for pricing, some of you guys are way off. Take a look at the Corvette price for Comp Grey wheels which are painted/clearcoated. Any special wheels that GM does for the cobalt are likely to be paint/clear as well. Don't look for powdercoat as it is unlikely. The Corvette's wheels are larger, but the price for the option is only $395.00. So you could figure a safe number would be $345.00-375.00 for the Cobalt since they are smaller.
