GM Stage 1 turbo upgrade install

I just got a GM stage 1 turbo upgrade. I have a 2009 SS/TC with 1500 miles on it. How soon is too soon to install it? Someone told me to wait until I had at least 5000 miles on it. Any info. on this would be appreciated. I just don't want to install it too early and have long term issues along way down the road. Thanks.

The point of the GMS1 is you don't have to worry about issues. It's a canned tune that comes with the 5 yr 100k warranty. Do it, love it. That's it.

The dealership told me break in was 2000 Miles. Install it and just take it easy for another 500 miles and you will be fine.

I got it off of Ebay for $400. Plus $15 for S/H. My next option was Crate Engine Depot.

Tuned my car with GMS1 at around 500 miles. I've never been back to the dealer except to have the GMS1 installed and the oil leak recall fixed .

Actually there is no real set break in time. Everyone will tell you something different. These are all opinions. Many dealers install the stage 1 on the 2010 models as soon as someone purchases it off the showroom floor.

true, most will say 900 miles about, where the car will start to open up.
