had a boost leak

I was having issues with my boost and it kinda sounded like a noticeable boost leak. when I tested for it I found it and had an 8 inch break in the weld on my turboxs intercooler. Anybody else had any problems with theirs?

yeah, I got a local fabrication shop to weld it. it had to be a shallow weld for it to pop the original one.

it can happen, if the weld didn't penetrate the aluminum at all and is just sitting on the surface, that's usually what will cause a break. quality control wont check every one, just pick out a few from the bunch and check them so some are bound to slip by. I got a good tig welder guy where I work I always get him to weld any aluminum I got to weld. does good work. If I ever need mine welded it be free. but the zzp hasn't given issues. don't think I have heard of one of theirs breaking., glad u got urs fixed.
