Run it at the Quarter mile, seriously. That will tell everyone how extreme your tune is. Do like 5 runs down the track and display them on here by taking a pic of the time slips.

My car has a stock tune and I can only manage between a 14.1 to a 14.3 @ ~101.5 to 102mph everytime. I suck.

How can you be going backwards when you don't even know what has been done to the car? At least you'd be starting from a known baseline.

Just go to a competent HPTuners... have your car scanned and tune file pulled. That will tell if it's tuned or not..

Then you can get your tune, and have a safe, well running and quick tune.

I'm getting the car Dynoed tomorrow. They have HPT License as well. We'll soon find out what's up! I'll post results here.

Thanks, my real goal is to figure out of the car is stock or not! They can also let me know what's been done (I hope).

I would guess that someone who tuned the car would've raised the redline to more than 6300 (stock). My stage one boosts 22-23lbs on a crappy weather day and holds until 6000rpms, once it hits 6k it drops drastically. Like down to 16-18lbs from 6k-6.5k rpms. If your car climbs to more than 6500 rpms (stage 1), or holds 20+lbs of boost to whatever your redline is, I'd wager you're tuned.

honestly, I still say the easiest way to tell is to pull your tune with HPT and compare it to a stock tune. You don't need to pay for credits, I've done it a million times.

Well, I want the dyno and it's only $85. Since they are HPT Licensed, may as well get get the data.

nothing against the dyno idea. But like I said, you don't need to pay to get the tune pulled on HPT. Unless they saved the stock tune file, however, it will probably be hard for them to analyze it and see if you have a tuned car. I have HPT on my laptop. If you want, I can get ahold of some stock t/c file and look at it if you want.

I say you go back to the dealership and have them install a stock tune file and call it a day.

Then you will know for sure.
