I want to see a video of the boost holding 20lbs all the way to redline (whatever your redline might be). I thought all tunes dropped off at least a little after 6000rpms, unless maybe the pill mod was being used. Someone will correct me I'm sure.

I decided to get the GM1 tune, even though I know my car is F$$KN fast and boosts like a MOOTHA FOOKA..

PILL MOD

Trust be...it holds baby. It's almost as if the 20PSI is MAGNET on the gauge!

Just took out for another *test*

Ran it from 60-100 in 3rd this time and clocked it. This is the same test others have done when tunning. I got 6.3 sec. As a reference, using the video of the same run posted here, stock was 7.1 sec and the Trifecta Tune was 5.5sec. That's what I clocked on the video, which should be pretty accurate. Looks like I'm in between..definitely not stock for sure. I'd like to know what the Dyno was on the Trifecta Tune! Also, I hold boost at 20+Lbs all the way to red line.
Dyno tomorrow. Stay *TUNED*

....you don't have to, not your car

I found this posted here. The TC (stock) got 237HP on a Dyanpac..same type I'm having.
Should now be interesting to see my #.

Pic comparing SS stage2 SC and Stock TC:

Link..also shows how Dynapack works:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-lnf-performance-tech-153/images-video-todays-stage-2-sc-vs-ss-t-dyno-face-off-56k-think-again-118151/

Graph:

Overlay of my Stage 2 SC (no other mods) vs. Stock SS/T (only 75 miles )
**Stage 2 SC: 227whp/203ft lbs**
**SS/T: 237whp/258 ft lbs**

Just Stock TC Below. Want to show this by itself to use as comparison with my car tomorrow (same dyno set up..different location).

Dyno results are now in... mystery solved

I took the car to Church Dynotuners of Wilmington, Ca. My car was dynoed and scanned at first. They have the HPT Suite and in fact, he had just tuned an SS TC this morning. My car was extensively scanned and it was determined it was flashed with a pretty good tune..many things had been altered (including 7K Redline!). It dynoed at 299.7 WHP and 341.6 FT lbs. He said there was some detonation and advanced timing, so we decided to retune. BTW..this dyno registers about 5% HIGHER in HP and Torque compared to the Dynojet (verified by Church over many cars)...you you can take off around *15* on the numbers I quote here if you want to compare to a dynojet.
I came out at 308WHP (+18) and 360 Ft Lbs (+20) after the tune. The boost is about the same..actually a tad lower. I can now RIP RUBBER in SECOND which I couldn't do before. The torque curve was improved nicely and the AFR was brought down to *safer levels* as well.

NOTE!!! THE CAR WAS ALREADY TUNED WHEN I GOT IT!! THE *BEFORE*(GREEN) WAS WITH THAT TUNE! THE *AFTER* (BLUE) WAS CHURCH TUNE-TWEEK

HP and Torque. Green *before* Blue *after*

wow!

310hp & 360lb/ft on just a tune...

and you bought the car that way - that's awesome!

how is your warranty going to work? ~ since they sold it to you tuned, they should not be able to black ball for it...

Yeah and I got it already tuned at 299WHP and 341 Torque. As I said though, you need to *adjust* these #s for his particular Dynapack to get Dynojet #....which would be around 295 WHP and 345ft lb Torque.

I bought the car as stated in the previous post...299 and 340. I then tuned it again for better results. Car was resold by Mercedes Dealer, where I bought it. It's under warranty and is also a GM certified used car as well.

Told you it was tuned....doubter.

BTW, 'safe' AFR on the LNF is 12.9 to 1 at WOT, .88 lambda. I hope he didn't richen it up any more than that. Direct Injection likes it at .88

Edit: From the chart, he tuned it around 12:1, too rich for these engines IMO.

Free up the intake & exhaust and while it won't hold 20 psi to 6k any more, it will make more power. The stock cats are very restrictive.

The car was DETONATING with that AFR when we first dynoed..that's one of the main reasons why he decided to retune. The biggest gains in torque are from 2000-4700RPM.
Thereafter torque was about the same. I really like the response now in that range. You can't argue with results below>>>

The LNF is prone to a bit of false knock showing up, you said he pulled timing on the retune. I believe you left some HP on the table but it is your car after all. Glad you are happy with it.

I've been running .88 lambda (12.9 AFR) for over 20k miles now with no issues. 40k on the car. I run 18* advance at 7k on 93 octane. I suppose you only have 91 octane out in Cali?

That's quite a bit more than 6500rpms! Beast tune sir. Before and after.

Edit: OH and you need to consider at least the sensors from the Stage 1 tune. 3bar ftmfw!
