help with removing front and rear "grills" on SS/TC

help with removing front and rear "grills" on SS/TC

hey everyone!

Im looking for some help......


I just wanted to know what is the best way to get the front and rear grills off of the SS/TC?


Im having some problems doing this..........for the front grill do I have to remove the top plastic piece when you open the hood?

back grilles pop right out, jack the car up and get under there it will be easier as for the front ones idk i didnt take them out i did this.

I know how to get the rear left grill out... Cut your muffler off and go wot... It will blow out with the heat/flames.. You may not find it again ,but it will be out.. Ask me how I know

the top plastic piece will come off with the grille. take those push pins out. and then look on the side of the grille there should be another push pin on each side. and then it should just be clipped in. atleast thats how mine was.

u gotta unsrew the front badge off for the front grille, then its just a matter of pushing the little ridges out of the way around the whole thing and fanangling it out.

rears are easy, tabs holding them in on top (from inside the bumper) and then u pretty much pop them out

Hey bud, this happened to me also!!! Did my muffler delete, took it for a drive to see if I like how it sounds before I weld the pipe in, did some wot pulls, came back went behind my car, grille is gone and bumper is burnt to a crisp.

I was like ZOMGWTFISTHISSHIT

Ya that exactly my same story... Sounds a lot better withthe pipe welded on tho lol

yes, you have to remove all the plugs on the top plastic piece, pull the whole thing towards you remove the bowtie, then remove the two plugs at the bottom of the grill (held with plugs that use a square bit to get off) then slowly work the tabs that hold it all on until they are all loose. Until I did it, I thought that they were two separate grills, but it's actually just one.

Rear grills- there are two tabs on the back side that I used a pair of pliers to pinch the tabs and they pop right out after that. When putting them back in just use a small screwdriver to lift the tabs back up and push it back into place.
