You mean have a competent person install your IC right? No offense but this problem was a no brainer. Wouldn't even of had to bend over to see it. You were going to have insurance bust out 3g's to fix it, that's why premiums be so high for the rest of us.

Exactly, and I was trying to help him in where to look, hell you can see that or feel it without having jack the damn car up. Def easier but do-able without.

It's a locking DTC. It needs to be manually cleared.

There is no such DTC as p1010. The DTC is likely P0101 which is a big flashing boost leak issue. You're mechanic's an idiot. Fire him and get your money back. You blew out your IC. Replace it.

Anyways, I pretty well think that the general consensus in this thread (except the OP of course) was that there was likely an IC issue here. Hopefully the OP will have a little more faith in use next time.
