Safe & sound in my driveway because my step dad hasn't got his **** HD's & tools the **** out my man cave yet!
But shes safe & sound in the driveway, I start her every week & let her run but she feels neglected & words don't mean anything to her, just like a typical woman right!? lol.

I couldn't agree more.

I bought myself a used set of Continental Winter Contacts for $100
They only had like <60% tread depth, but I'm not complaining.

After everything else is said, this is still just a compact car... so I bought it intending to drive year round.
I also expected the GM tune(s) to be very sedate... which aid's in crappy condition driving.

I have seen ALOT of wrecks this year...

Oh, the esc is brilliant as well in my opinion. Works very well.
You know I have started to be able to anticipate when the ESC will kick in...
This Cobalt handles quite different from any other car I've owned (hard to explain), so the ESC just picks up my own slack.. and lets me drive a little more retarded

Also, my in tank fuel pump has a high pitched sound coming from it. Is that normal?

My car runs so rough when cold. It's kind of irritating.
I do occasionally notice this;
Primarily though, I only notice it if I don't let the car warm up to >100'f ~ which isn't often.

She was sitting under a nice layer of ice until I had to get out this morning...

We'll see what tomorrow's snow storm dumps on her.

I have actually had nothing but problems with the stabitrack system, I know that sometimes when I turn and it kicks its trying to help but on my old prix it kicked when Ididnt need it, and drifting with that car was a no go bc the system couldn't be turned off. Then there is the one time it kicked when I needed it instead of helping me turn it locked the rear so it didnt slide and I went straight into the snow bank.

and honesty I have found TC really does help in all cases bc if it stopping you from getting up the hill your using too much gas, and have your wheels spinning anyway if you let up a little you still go at the same speed. Outside of losing grip when your trying to mash a take out TC iss amazing

you know you can turn it off right?

it's similar to engaging the competition mode, except instead of pushing the traction control button twice, you push and hold it for something like five or ten seconds, then the DIC will displace "ESC OFF" (or something to that effect).

yeah, it's not exactly written in the owners manual like the competition mode, it's just a small blurb that I passed over when going through the manual last February;

I actually only came to find this out after watching a road test on an '08 SS/TC, where the tester (who appeared to be ignorant of the Competition mode) put it into "ESC off" before doing the real road test...

Mine is resting nice and warm in my garage. Bought a blazer as a winter beater. Saved money putting the Balt on storage insurance.

Woke up to 21F weather this morning. We had rain/snow last night. Almost broke both of my door handles this morning on my doors because they were frozen shut

I also have a set of the Conti Extreme Contacts...

I hear that they work really well, but I haven't driven my car with them on yet. I had back surgery in December and I can't drive. My friends got me the tires as a present and put them on, and a friend of mine drives my car every few days to keep things moving.
